For the last 3 weeks or so I've been farting around with HTML in the pursuit of trying to assemble my own website- a silly desire I've had since I was basically 10 years old. It feels like the internet was so much bigger back then, and I wanted to stake a claim!
I used to have an endless stream of bookmarks of sites I'd visit, webcomics I'd read. Nowadays it all feels like it's mushed into a messy and limited assembly on two or three social media hubs. As some bitch on Broadway once said, I was born too soon and started too late.
Or maybe I got that backwards?
Anyways. I've decided now's as good a time as any to make my inner child's dreams come true by trying to design the website I always envisisoned! I owe him that much. I'm not terribly good at journaling, but a web-diary was included on my younger self's "must-haves" list, so here we are!
I suppose this weekend's as good a time to start, because it's actually been fairly eventful by my standards. One of my coworkers invited me to come along with her and some work-pals for some drinks on Friday night, and it was actually a lot of fun! Saturday I went on a 6 mile hike through the woods nearby, and then today I visited family and took another 3 mile forest hike.
My legs aren't as exhausted as I expected they'd be, considering I haven't been exercising much at all for this whole month. My every waking hour has pretty much been devoted to coding this website when I wasn't at work. Now that it's more or less finished, I feel like I need to push myself to get back into my usual fitness routine!
For a lazy, slovenly, reclusive, smut peddler, I've got a busy few weeks ahead of me, and I'm gonna do my best to keep working on my next comic!
